West Norfolk Methodist Circuit

Lion House community

The Lion House community is a circuit project, run by Rev Andrew Sankey. The house consists of two section, the main house which is a family home for the Sankeys and the north wing which has several rooms used by guests who stay for differing periods of time and reasons. Currently two of the guests are the detached youth workers working with Downham Market Town council and Downham Market Methodist Church. In the past Lion House has been home for a while for folk seeking to escape a violent home environment and others in similar situations. It is also a regular meeting place for a local AA group and is also used for Bible study meetings, pray meetings, Youth Groups, Staff meetings, circuit meetings and sometimes 'prayer retreats'.
